After 20 years of importing luxury Swiss watches into Australia, Eric van der Griend (pictured) established Watches of Switzerland in 1996. Today, Watches of Switzerland is Australia's and New Zealand's leading official watch speciality store with 28 brands and over 4000 references of Swiss watches in 5 stores across Australia and New Zealand. Watches of Switzerland is also the "exclusive" watch retailer for the Chanel and the Ebel range of Swiss made timepieces.

With stores in Sydney(NSW), Melbourne(VIC), Brisbane (QLD), Perth(WA), and Auckland(NZ), Watches of Switzerland is the region's largest Swiss watch retailer supplying timepieces for watchmaking aficionados, design admirers, fashion leaders, jewellery collectors and the sports minded.

During 2007, Watches of Switzerland renovated and enlarged the Melbourne, Auckland and Sydney stores. These revamped stores feature a new 'shop-within-a-shop' concept from Switzerland’s finest brands including Audemars Piguet, Jaeger le Coultre, IWC, Cartier, Omega, TAG Heuer and Oris.

The 60 staff employed have a total sum of over 200 years of experience in the industry and speak 12 different languages (including Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Taiwanese, Malaysian, Korean, Russian, French, Dutch, Italian, German and English). All stores are factory authorised sales and service centres. The professional, factory-trained staff can advise you on everything you need to know about luxury timepieces. The company is also an authorised sales agent for Mont Blanc writing instruments. Tax free sales are available for overseas travellers, and you will find all products at internationally competitive prices.

Tax free sales are available for customers or tourists travelling overseas. In Australia the GST Tax component of 10% is removed and in New Zealand the GST Tax component of 12.5% is removed on the exported goods.

Watches of Switzerland employs highly qualified, factory-trained watchmakers to conduct internationally authorised after sales service on watches, from authorised battery changes with pressure tests to comprehensive overhauls. All work is guaranteed for an additional 12 months.
