Established in 1911, Ebel got its name from the initials of its founders, Eugène Blum et (Alice) Lévy. Eugène and Alice were partners in both life and business, and the fusion of their distinctive talents and interests left an indelible imprint on the brand.
Architecture is an ongoing inspiration for the master watchmakers of Ebel. As the ‘Architects of Time’, every detail of the finishing and every aspect of the metals and precious stones in Ebel watches is conceived and crafted at La Chaux-de-fonds for lasting perfection. Their commitment to this approach is highlighted by the acquisition and restoration of ‘Villa Turque’, a magnificent villa in La Chaux-de-fonds designed and built in 1917 by the renowned Swiss architect, Le Corbusier.
