2011 marks the release of the new Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean range in 42mm and 45.5mm, which marks the migration of the new collection of Seamasters to in-house Omega built movements.Like the new Planet Ocean Chronograph, the Planet Ocean Date's stainless steel case a generous 45.5mm in diameter, and houses the Omega Co-Axial Calibre 8500 self-winding movement. The beautifully clear black matt dial allows the SuperLuminova coated hands and hour markers, and the date display, to shine through. The usual Planet Ocean sporty features remain - unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel, helium valve, and water resistance to 600 metres.
