The A. Lange and Söhne, 1815 Tourbillon is an absolute masterpiece of horological craftsmanship.
Visually stunning, the watch features a huge visible tourbillon cage at 6 o'clock, as well as the beautiful dial craftsmanship that the brand always nails. However, beneath the dial lies some even more impressive technical mastery.
The seconds hand (which is also mounted to the tourbillon) has both a stop-seconds function AND a return-to-zero function when the crown is pulled out. This is some serious watchmaking at work, and is incredible to behold in person.
The watch itself comes encased in a 39.5mm pink gold case, and at only 11.1mm thick, this watch is incredibly easy to wear. The lithe hands complement the overall dressy look of the watch, but its size is just enough to make a statement wherever you go. Under the dial lies the calibre L102.1, with the aforementioned hacking seconds and return-to-zero tourbillon that is just a spectacle to see.
Presented on a gorgeous alligator strap, this watch is enough to catch the attention of passers by, but only those that know what they're looking for.
