After a stellar showing at this year's SIHH watch fair in Geneva, the magnificent timpieces from A. Lange and Söhne finally hit Australian shores last week, and as exclusive retailers of the brand, Watches of Switzerland was very proud to present the 2016 Novelty showcase at several events around the country.
Our trip started in Sydney, and the Park Hyatt hotel, followed by Melbourne at the magnificent Grand Hyatt, and then finally out west to Perth for an exclusive dinner with Lange enthusiasts. Joanna Lange from the A. Lange and Söhne presented our esteemed guests with the history of the brand, as well as updates on the 2016 range, including the vast array of technological advancements made when designing and producing this collection.
Guests enjoyed fine wine and food whilst perusing the 2016 collection, and all it had to offer. The star of the show was almost undoubtedly the Lange 1 Moonphase Lumen, with its smoky sapphire dial, and elegant use of luminescent material in both the markers and the large moonphase complication.
Not to be outdone, the most complicated (and arguably, impressive) watch in the collection was the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon. Yes, you read that correctly; Lange combined three of its most prestigious and exclusive complications into one absolutely stunning timepiece, of which there will only ever be 100 made.
Thanks to A. Lange and Söhne, and Joanna Lange for bringing over such incredible watches for making such an event possible. We look forward to hosting more amazing nights like these, and sharing the beauty and elegance of A. Lange and Söhne with more of our esteemed guests in future.
Make sure you head to our Facebook page for more photos of the event and the beautiful timepieces on show!
