Breitling Navitimer Limited "Stratos Grey"

Breitling has enhanced its Navitimer collection of aeronautical watches with the release of a Limited Edition Navitimer 01 (46mm) with Stratos Gray dial and it’s available now, exclusively from Watches of Switzerland.

Breitling has recently released a special edition version of its Navitimer 01 (46mm) watch with a striking Stratos Gray dial (Ref. AB01271A/F570/761P). A substantial piece on the wrist, this instrument pays homage to a collection that’s been a favourite among aviation watch aficionados since 1952. Boasting a characteristic pilot watch design, as well as the technical elements for which Breitling is known, this is a welcome addition to the Navitimer collection.

Sized at 46mm in diameter, this special edition Breitling Navitimer 01 features a stainless-steel case, a rotating bezel with circular slide rule, and a distinct Stratos Gray dial. Housed under a glare-proofed, cambered sapphire crystal and highlighted against the dark dial are luminescent-coated silver-toned hour and minute hands, as well as elongated hour markers. Running around the dial’s circumference, Breitling’s famed aviation slide rule appears in white punctuated by significant numerals and elements in red, which complement the extra thin red central hand that tracks the scale. Placed at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, three chronograph registers with black discs enhance the dial’s sporty look, while a date window at 4 o’clock rounds off the watch face’s utilitarian direction. Completing the Breitling Navitimer 01’s case, a non-screw locked crown sits at 3 o’clock surrounded by two gaskets that control the watch’s chronograph functions.

Powered by the Manufacture calibre Breitling 01, this watch is COSC-certified and promises an accuracy of -4 to +6 seconds a day. A self-winding mechanical chronograph movement — that can be admired via a sapphire crystal caseback — it offers the wearer 1/4th second, 30-minute, and 12-hour functionality, in addition to a calendar function on a black date disc that matches the black sub-dials. Vibrating at a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour, the watch holds a substantial 70-hour power reserve, which will be greatly appreciated by pilots and those using this instrument for practical purposes. This Breitling Navitimer 01 also offers water resistance to 30 metres or 3 bar.

Fitted with a robust Breitling alligator strap, this is a watch that has been built to withstand even the most extreme conditions, not to mention daily wear-and-tear. The Breitling Navitimer 01 (46mm) Limited Edition is a standout dress watch for everyday practicality with just the right amount of flash.

Limited to a run of just 1,000 units, this Breitling Navitimer 01 is an exclusive model that will be sure to entice Breitling fans and collectors of pilot instruments. Moderately priced at $11,900 it’s available in-store now exclusively from Watches of Switzerland in Australia.
