Detailed features & specifications

This model was introduced in 2016. The dial is crafted from solid silver and graced with solid-gold appliques. The hands are made of rhodiumed gold.

With its case height of only 7.8 millimetres, the SAXONIA AUTOMATIC is the thinnest self-winding watch ever crafted at A. Lange & Söhne. The calibre L086.1 itself measures a scant 3.7 millimetres from top to bottom. Its central rotor, suspended in a ball bearing, has a heavy platinum centrifugal mass. Interacting with the winding train, it assures that the maximum power reserve of 72 hours is available after just a short time on the wrist.

Solid-gold hour markers at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock that are executed as double baton appliqués grace the dial of the SAXONIA AUTOMATIC presented in 2015. The minimally extended minute markers add crispness to the minute scale, thus optimising the legibility of the watch. Contrary to the SAXONIA, the subsidiary seconds dial of the Saxonia Automatic features numerals at the tens positions.
