Breitling has redesigned the Avenger – a collection as bold and robust as its name suggests and marks an evolution of the brand’s pilot’s watches, once again confirming its status as the world’s leading manufacturer of aviation-related watches. It was created as a reliable companion for aerial adventurers who want to achieve something outstanding and unexpected. It’s completely at home on the wrist of a drone specialist mastering the skies from the ground, a pilot in the cockpit of a supersonic jet, or an aviation pioneer who has long been committed to challenging the conventional boundaries of flight.

The Breitling Avenger Chronograph 45 is a classic pilot’s watch.  It has a 45 mm stainless-steel case with a unidirectional ratcheted bezel and is available with either a black or blue dial. Powered by a selfwinding Breitling Caliber 13 mechan ical chronograph movement, it has a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. Its hands and indexes are coated with SuperLumiNova®, a luminescent material that offers optimal legibility in all lighting conditions.  The COSC certified chronometer is water resistant to 30 bar/300 meters. The Avenger Chronograph 45 Night Mission has a rugged but lightweight 45 mm case made of DLC coated titanium. The SuperLumiNova®coated hands and the “stenciled” Arabic numerals make the dial easy to read even in limited lighting conditions.

With its 48 mm stainless steel case, unidirectional ratcheted bezel, and black dial, the Super Avenger Chronograph 48 makes a big, bold “here I am” statement. Equipped with a self-winding Breitling Caliber 13 mechanical chronograph movement, it has a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. The COSC certified chronometer is water resistant to 30 bar/300 meters. Its Arabic numerals set against the blue dial recall the stencilled numbers on the decks of aircraft carriers.

The Breitling Avenger Automatic 45 Seawolf is part of a classic pilot’s watch collection, but also has features that make it ideally suited for adventures well below the ocean’s surface. Its 45 mm stainless-steel case has a unidirectional ratcheted bezel and a screwed titanium caseback. Its self-winding Breitling Caliber 17 mechanical movement has a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. It is also water resistant to an incredible 300 bar/3000 meters. Like all Breitling watches, every Avenger Automatic 45 Seawolf is a COSC certified chronometer.

The Breitling Aviation Pioneers Squad: Lessons in Accomplishment

For the launch of the new Avenger collection, Breitling has assembled a new Aviation Pioneers Squad as part of its #squadonamission campaign, made up of three remarkable individuals who represent different airborne disciplines but all define an incredible new age of adventure in the air: Scott Kelly, Rocio Gonzalez Torres, and Luke Bannister.

Scott Kelly – Astronaut

520 days in space during his four flights, and commanded the ISS on three of them.

Rocío González Torres – Fighter Pilot

A commandant in the Spanish Air Force, was the first Spanish woman to log 1000 hours at the controls of an F-18 fighter jet.

Luke Bannister – Drone Pilot

A multi-time world champion drone pilot.

It makes perfect sense that the members of the Breitling Aviation Pioneers Squad wear watches from the Avenger collection, which reinforces Breitling’s unparalleled pioneering status as the world’s leading maker of aviationrelated and pilot’s watches. The Avenger collection is an uncompromisingly modern expression of Breitling’s Air DNA and perfectly comple ments the impressive aerial careers of the three Squad members.
