CARRERA CALIBRE 16 DAY-DATE
1300 808 135
Tag Heuer patriarch Jack Heuer created the Carrera watch in 1963 in tribute to the well-known Carrera Panamericana a car race widely considered the world’s most dangerous.
As intriguing as the race it is named for, the watch broke traditional watchmaking policies and become the first chronograph primarily designed for race drivers, perfect for pushing the speed envelope or cruising through each day due to a simple, elegant, clear design. He broke the rules of watch dial design and TAG Heuer has continued to create avant garde combinations of form and function to this day. The Carrera celebrates the decision makers, the risk takers and the dreamers for whom time is only another race to win.
TAG Heuer Chronographs
In the early part of last century the mechanical chronograph became essential for the timing of motor races. Every tiny bit of a second counts in this high-risk, demanding sport. Edouard Heuer created the first Heuer chronograph in 1882 and patented the oscillating pinion in 1887. This major development rocked the entire watchmaking industry and made the chronograph synonymous with the Heuer company. Cutting edge technology, high precision and avant-garde design continue to be the cornerstone of the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph range.
