Our Story
After 20 years of importing luxury Swiss watches into Australia, Eric van der Griend (pictured) established Watches of Switzerland in 1996. Today, Watches of Switzerland is Australia's leading official watch speciality store with 20 brands and over 4,000 references of Swiss watches. Watches of Switzerland is an Australian, family owned company. 

Watches of Switzerland is the exclusive watch retailer for Chanel Swiss made timepieces in Australia. The company is also an authorised sales agent for Mont Blanc writing instruments.

With stores in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, Watches of Switzerland is the region's largest Swiss watch retailer supplying timepieces for watchmaking aficionados, design admirers, fashion leaders, jewellery collectors and the sports minded.

During 2007, Watches of Switzerland renovated and enlarged the Melbourne and Sydney stores, and 2008 saw the opening of a new Perth store in King Street. These revamped stores feature a new 'shop-within-a-shop' concept from Switzerland’s finest brands including Audemars Piguet, Breitling, Jaeger–LeCoultre, IWC, Cartier, Chanel, Omega, Panerai, TAG Heuer and Oris.

Watches of Switzerland’s team of 60 well trained, approachable staff has a total sum of over 200 years experience in the industry and speak many different languages (including Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean, French, Dutch and English). 

All stores are factory authorised sales and service centres. The professional, factory-trained staff can advise you on everything you need to know about luxury timepieces. Tax free sales are available for overseas travellers, and you will find all products at internationally competitive prices..

Watches of Switzerland employs highly qualified, factory-trained watchmakers to conduct internationally authorised after sales service on watches, from authorised battery changes with pressure tests to comprehensive overhauls. All work is guaranteed for an additional 12 months.
